Romance? That's a Joke Right?

A romantic partner? You do realize that those don't really exist. Well I mean I guess they can, but you usually have to make them. Yeah you heard me, MAKE them. Plus that never works out. Oh sure it might seem like fun and trust me it is a lot of fun, but then there is that whole personal gain thing. And well the theory that Magick Owes you? Doesn't really work out so well.

I mean sure you make them and put all the things that you thought you wanted in there. The soulful eyes, and the complete acceptance of all of your faults. The recipes to your favorite meals, the subtle laugh at all your jokes. It might seem perfect, and I am sure that in some way it really is okay for some people. However I just can't deal with the split personalities or the 24 hour rule.

If I am going to get a man, they better stick around.

Of course then I would have to tell them that I just happen to be a witch. That demons and all of that are real and while I am at it I will toss in the old, 'and I kill them!' part of it. It really is a lot more complicated than it sounds too.

Not too many guys are all keen on the my girlfriend is more powerful than I am vibe. I mean I have had a few guys in my life. Yeah, I said few.. okay more than a few. Either way I am not with any of them now am I? Yeah, I mean the closest thing I had... well okay there were a few times that I was pretty close, but even now? It just feels like nothing was right. I mean Richard was great, except that I couldn't trust him with Magick. Kyle was good too, but you know I don't feel like talking about that.

I want to say that Romance is dead. I just know that it isn't. Maybe for me, but I have seen it. I saw it with Piper and Leo, I saw it with Phoebe and Drake. I don't want to give up on it all, but it does seem sort of hazy for me.

Maybe I just need to wait for one of those 'moments' you know the ones that are in all those romance novels with the chiseled abs guy and the lame fawning over the girl pose. I just don't want to be covered in demon goo when it happens.
