[EM] 22 - Truth... and Freedom

Oh what a confusing wicked web the truth can weave. You would think that such a simple word that is supposed to bring this feeling of relief, and maybe even some inner peace would actually be able to MESS EVERYTHING UP!!

See the truth isn't quite as easy for me as it is to all of you people. Yeah you people, the ones with the normal lives and the lack of actual thought beyond the whole, "Oh Magic is a nice story and a way to make a pumpkin into a stagecoach that is all pretty and white!" See for all of them the truth is just something they learn, and then deal with. It's how your son or daughter failed algebra even though you paid for that tutor... it's the teeny white lie that you told about actually paying for the bottle of water as you roamed the grocery store. See those things? Easy. You expose the lie, tell the truth and Phew! You feel a whole lot better.

Oh but for me? Well.. for me and my sisters even? The truth is ugly. It makes guys faint, run away, stop calling, stop coming by... stop saying hi... It makes the guys basically stop. Everything.

Of course there are ways around it, because you could go and try to get their honest reaction to something... you know just to test the waters? Well then the truth turns out to be how the guy is already married, and how much his wife would just love all the stuff you are telling him about.

See the truth? Sucks. It hurts and it confuses and generally? Doesn't set anything free.

Now going without a bra for a weekend? That is freeing.

Trust me.

I have a picture I took of an orchid. It's boring me. I need something new too.

It'll be sent out for DNA testing, and the Source (y'know, if he was still around) would nearly be impeached!

Or something.

I made a Sim of you at work the other day. You lit yourself on fire when you tried to make toaster pastries and died.

I think I managed to create a damned good virtual you.

You know you missed him. Should I find a picture of your ass grabby friend?

Shush, you.

When the printing presses go down, my article is in, and my editor is INSISTING I stay in the office because I haven't 'put in the hours', yeah, I play The Sims. I made Piper and Leo too, and me and... Me. I made me.

I already looked. Google images comes up short on images of just the pieces. The entire game board, in large, slow loading size? That comes up. Even a Wikipedia page for it.

Yes.

Hot tub Woo-Hoo.

I should recreate your character and give her the family aspiration. Get you barefoot and pregnant.

That, too, sounded weirder than I meant for it to.

Sadly, it's either money grubbing, attention whoring, just plain whoring, desperate to get pregnant, or workaholic.

Which of those works well for you?

Which is what I did for the Sim that lit herself on fire!!

Damn, I'm good.

I almost wished that on-fire Sim Paige would've tried to hit on the fire fighter trying to put her out. Because that would've been hilarious.
